About Kris

Kris has proudly called District 23 home for nearly 20 years. He is a devoted husband, father, pastor, and community leader committed to empowering families and strengthening communities throughout Prince George’s County.

Throughout his years of service, Kris has worked closely with families, youth and local organizations to create opportunities and support systems that help communities thrive. His leadership and dedication have earned him several recognitions, including The Turnaround Award and being named a PGCPS Father of the Year. These honors reflect his ongoing commitment to mentorship, family engagement and building stronger connections between schools and the community.

Kris brings a unique combination of policy knowledge, executive leadership, and real community experience to public service. He holds degrees in Public Administration and Education (a BA in Political-Science, Minor in Human Development and a Master of Public Administration both from North Carolina Central University. In 2012 he earned a Master of Divinity from Howard University and has led organizations across the business, nonprofit, faith and community sectors. Through these roles, he has developed a reputation for bringing people together, solving problems, and leading with integrity, accountability, and compassion.

A product of youth development programs himself, Natesan has spent his life giving back to the community that helped shape him. His professional and community leadership experience spans multiple sectors, including federal service at the Social Security Administration and the Veterans' Administration. Natesan has also served as a federal contractor with the Department of Justice.

Additionally, he has served in ministry for over 20 years and has operated a small business in Maryland for over 20 years. These activities have allowed him the resources and freedom to serve the community and engage in grassroots activism. Through these roles, he has worked closely with families, seniors, veterans and young people throughout the state of Maryland.

As a leader, Kris believes government should work for the people it serves. He is committed to practical, transparent leadership that delivers real results for District 23 and all of Prince George’s County. His priorities include strengthening neighborhoods, expanding economic opportunity, supporting strong public schools, promoting safe communities, and ensuring families have access to the resources they need to succeed.

Kris believes that when leaders listen to their communities and work collaboratively, meaningful progress is possible. With faith, compassion, and a deep commitment to service, he is ready to help move District 23 forward and build a stronger future for Maryland families.
